Install PaySlate Free

PaySlate is free in the WordPress.org plugin directory. You get unlimited invoices, card payments through Stripe or Square, deposits and partial payments, and automatic overdue reminders.

Requirements: WordPress 6.4 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer. You also need HTTPS to take card payments, which your host almost certainly provides already.

Install it in about a minute

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins, then Add New, and search for PaySlate.
  2. Click Install Now, then Activate.
  3. Open PaySlate Settings, add your business details, and connect Stripe or Square.
  4. Send your first invoice. The three-step walkthrough covers it.

Prefer to install by hand? Download the zip from WordPress.org, then upload it under Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin.

Your client does not need an account

Once PaySlate is connected, every invoice you send carries its own payment link. Your client opens it and pays by card on your site. There is nothing for them to sign up for and no password for them to remember, which is the step that most often stops an invoice from getting paid.
