Fix invoice email delivery
Your invoice is safe. PaySlate saved it, but your site could not deliver the email. You can copy the invoice link and send it from your regular email while you fix delivery.
Why this happens
PaySlate asks WordPress to send invoice emails. Many hosting accounts do not include reliable email delivery by default, or they require your site to connect to an email provider first. PaySlate cannot repair that connection because it belongs to your website and email provider.
How to fix it
- Ask your hosting provider whether outgoing WordPress email is enabled for your site.
- If it is not, install a trusted SMTP or transactional email plugin and connect it to the email service you already use.
- Use that plugin's test-email feature and confirm that the message reaches your inbox.
- Return to the invoice in PaySlate and select Send Invoice again.
Need to send the invoice now?
Select Copy invoice link beneath the warning in PaySlate, open your regular
email, and paste the link into your message.
If WordPress says the email was sent but it never arrives
- Check the Spam or Junk folder.
- Confirm that the From address uses your website's domain.
- Check your email plugin's delivery log for a rejected or bounced message.
- Ask your email provider to verify the domain's SPF and DKIM records.
How you know it is fixed
Send a test email from your email plugin first. Then resend the invoice from PaySlate. The red delivery warning will disappear after PaySlate successfully hands off the email.
